Charlene holds a Doctor of Law degree from the North Carolina Central University School of Law. Since completing her degree she has accrued practical experience in several diverse settings, including Winston-Salem State University. This early, hands-on experience uniquely positioned her to adeptly represent clients in civil matters, with a primary focus on domestic legal matters. Additionally, Charlene has represented parents in matters of abuse, neglect and dependency. She treats her clients as more than just a case number, going above and beyond to connect with them on a human level.

Based in Greensboro, NC, she serves her community as a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association on the Continuing Legal Education Committee, she is a member of the Guilford County Indigent Defense Committee, she serves on the Board of East Greensboro Now (currently as Secretary), the North Carolina Association of Black Lawyers (Assistant Secretary and Parliamentarian), she is currently a member the Sigma Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she has served the Guilford County Association of Black Lawyers (as Secretary 2011/2012 term and as President of the 2013/2014 term) as well as being a member of the Democratic Women of Guilford County and the NAACP.
